STUART COLEMAN

MANAGING DIRECTOR & ARCHITECT

Within Coleman Anderson, Stuart leads a team of highly passionate and skilled architects and designers working on a wide variety of projects from various sectors. His specific skills lie within the private residential sector where he enjoys working closely with his clients to deliver high-quality and truly bespoke architecture. He has experience working on projects situated within the Green Belt, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Conservation Areas and is particularly interested in negotiating their constraints through innovative design and engineering.

Before forming Coleman Anderson Architects, Stuart worked as a sole practitioner building a network of trusted consultants and developing his management skills to aid his passion for architecture and business. Prior to this Stuart spent 5 years at Open Architecture, Sevenoaks where he worked on a number of award-winning residential projects.

Stuart is an apprenticeship mentor and as a practice Coleman Anderson Architects actively support and encourage their employees into further education. Stuart studied at Northumbria University and passed his RIBA Part III at Kingston University.

Outside of the office Stuart is a keen sportsman. He is a lifelong member of Sevenoaks Rugby Club, where he captained the club for three years, leading them to promotion into the National Leagues. He now integrates his team leadership skills and understanding of team dynamics to all project stages and always maintains a thriving team environment within the practice.

Tony Trifiletti

Director, Tony Trifiletti has maintained a rich and diverse international architectural career, developing an extensive knowledge on the design and construction of buildings ranging from small scale residential, commercial and mixed-use projects to supertall skyscrapers around the globe.

After graduating from the University of Kent in 2000, Tony started his career in the London offices of Skidmore Owings & Merrill, LLP. During his time at SOM, Tony joined the firms Chicago office to work on the Design and Construction Documentation for London’s Broadgate Tower & 201 Bishopsgate, (Best Tall Building Europe 2009) before returning to serve as resident site Architect for the project throughout its construction to completion and tenant occupancy.

Following Tony's time with SOM, Tony spent 6 years with Supertall building experts Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture in Chicago, which included 3 years in Dubai as the firm's Middle Eastern representative for projects in the region including, the Masdar Headquarters building in Abu Dhabi, The Kingdom Tower in Jeddah, and the Burj Khalifa Gatehouses in Dubai.

Most recently Tony worked as a Project Architect at Adamson Associates International where he held the position of Resident Architect for The Shard in London, providing technical support and guidance to the Shard construction and facilities management teams and Architectural services for design enhancement projects within and around the Shard and London Bridge Quarter. Alongside Tony’s role at The Shard, Tony also collaborated closely with Renzo Piano Building Workshop as Executive Architect for the Shard Place residential tower development next to the Shard.

With a strong passion for exterior facade design, construction detailing and freehand drawing, Tony's foundation remains deeply routed in his ambition to specialise in enriching peoples lives through the creation of carefully considered and beautifully detailed buildings.

PHOEBE PADLEY

Coleman Anderson’s Senior Architect, Phoebe Padley brings over 10 years’ experience of award-winning housing and mixed-use projects of all sizes in London and the South East.

Phoebe studied at Brighton and East London Universities and passed her RIBA Part III at The Bartlett UCL with distinction.Before joining Coleman Anderson Architects, Phoebe was an Associate at the award-winning Matthew Lloyd Architects in Shoreditch, East London, where she had a senior role in the design of housing and mixed-use projects at all stages of design and construction, often working with complex client groups.

Her project experience includes residential, community, church and education projects, including SEN schools, working with historic & listed buildings and new-build construction.

One of her particular strengths is her ability to communicate through drawing and visual media to help clients refine their brief and identify critical success factors for a project, delivering them through concept design, planning, technical detailing and construction. She also has extensive experience leading design consultation events with communities and complex stakeholder groups.

Phoebe is passionate about creating places and spaces for people, whether an extension for a family home or a masterplan for a brownfield site; be it urban or rural, big or small, contextual or iconic, each project is important, from layout to detail and from beginning to end and beyond.

Alongside her project work, Phoebe is a studio tutor at Brighton University. She has spoken at Women into Construction events and is keen to encourage women into all trades and professions of the construction industry.
